The Shop I Hunted Down This Time

This time, I decided to check out this shop.

It’s about a 23-minute walk from Phrom Phong, or around 14 minutes on foot from the Rama 4 Tailor.

And for anyone who knows it, it’s only about 8 minutes from Moku’s foot massage place — one of my favorites.

I had actually walked past this shop several times before, but I always assumed it was just a regular clothing shop — or maybe more of a dress boutique.

Wait… Is This Actually a Tailor?

Then one day, I happened to notice on Google Maps that it was categorized as a tailor.

The name of the shop was also Adul Dressmaking Shop.

But when I checked the reviews, I kept seeing words like “evening dress,” “long wedding dress,” and “custom dress.”

I also remembered once seeing a tall, glamorous woman coming out of the shop, so I had always assumed it was one of those party-dress places that had absolutely nothing to do with me.

Still…

In the name of my Tailor-Made Journey — apparently — I decided I had to investigate.

Time for a Walk-In Challenge

So I walked in.

Oh?

Ooh!?

Ooooooh!?

There were dress forms everywhere.

No doubt about it — this was a real dressmaking shop.

Instant excitement.

Can They Make Clothes Other Than Dresses?

As you can see in the photos, there were also plenty of everyday clothes inside the shop, not just formal dresses.

The staff only spoke Thai, so we communicated using a translation app, but it seemed that they could also make regular clothes, not just dresses.

That was exactly what I wanted to know.

The shop looked quite established, which did make me wonder…

Is this going to be expensive?

Still, now that I had found it, I had to try.
