Our Tailor-Made Matching Outfits

I also had a pair of overalls made for my son using the same fabric.
We paired both pieces with black to create a simple mom-and-son matching look.

The back of my top is finished with a velvet ribbon.
I really like having a little detail at the back — just enough to make the outfit feel special.

The colors are quite calm and understated, so I think this could even work in autumn in Japan with a knit or light jacket layered over it.

And the museum itself was lovely too.
The classic architecture and tiled details were so charming.

How Was It to Wear?

The fabric was soft and comfortable, but still thick enough that it didn’t feel too sheer.
It felt like just the right balance.
I think this outfit would be perfect for days when I want to look a little more polished, without feeling too dressed up.
Museum Siam also had a cute coffee cart outside, and there was plenty of lawn space where you could just sit back and relax.
It turned out to be a really nice place to spend a slow afternoon.
Next Journey: A Painful Tailoring Mistake — But Maybe a Useful Lesson?
So far, it probably looks like most of my tailoring projects have gone pretty well…
But actually, I’ve had one major failure too. Haha.
