The Finished Dress Is Ready

About three weeks after placing the order, I went back to RINNA — and found my dress on one of the store mannequins.

Maybe they put it there because it turned out nicely?
That thought made me a little happy.

It even had a RINNA tag on it, which made it feel like a real shop item.

I tried it on in the fitting space at the back of the store, and the size was absolutely perfect.

After confirming that everything looked good, I paid.
(If there had been any issues, they would have altered it for me there.)

Having a proper shop bag somehow makes the whole experience feel even more like a real boutique.

I went both for the order and for pickup without an appointment, but I’ve heard some people say they went all the way there only to find that their order wasn’t ready. So just to be safe, it might be a good idea to send them a message on LINE beforehand.

The Finished Dress and the Cost

Since I had brought the green dress on the left as a reference, the finished result came out very close to what I had imagined.
I suppose there’s less room for things to go wrong when you’re asking for something close to a copy.

  • Fabric: 240 baht
  • Tailoring: 1,300 baht
  • Total: 1,540 baht

Compared to the original green dress, I asked them to place the waist seam slightly higher and to keep the design simpler by removing the gathered waist.

Parent-and-Child Matching Looks

This time, I really wanted to do a parent-and-child matching look.

For my son’s overalls, I had asked the little local tailor to make them in the same fabric.

Looking at them together now, the buttons on his overalls stand out quite a bit, so maybe it would have been cute to use the same buttons on my dress too.

That said… that’s the kind of tiny detail I probably could have done myself, and yet somehow never do. Haha.

As long as my son is still willing to wear outfits chosen by his parents’ taste, I want to enjoy these matching looks while I can.
